Published March 23, 2008 10:00 am - Osborne celebrates 90 years Over 100 guests, including family and friends, gathered to honor Ruby Osborne on March 8 with a luncheon at Victory Temple Church to commemorate her 90th birthday.
After the luncheon, the guests assembled in the sanctuary of the church to review her long life with singing from her grandchildren. Ruby was born March 6, 1918, in Verdon. She has two sisters still living. She married Onie Osborne on Sept. 6, 1936. They made their home in Claremore about 30 years ago. Ruby and Onie became members of Claremore Church upon moving there. Onie passed away in 1997; Ruby remains a member today. She still lives in her home in Claremore. Her children include: daughters Wilma Mullis, of Chelsea, and Mary Taylor, Claremore; and son David Osborne, of Oologah. She has 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
