Sheene, Casto exchange vows at Claremore park

Carrie Sheene and Sgt. Patrick Casto became husband and wife in an evening ceremony on Saturday, July 7, 2007. The wedding was at The Gazebo in Lynn Riggs Park in Claremore, and was officiated by Chaplain Durham of Muskogee Veterans Affairs.

The bride is the daughter of James and Peggy Greene.

The groom is the son of Michael and Nancy Casto. He is the grandson of J.W. Casto of Emmet, Ark., Jean Stewart of Austin, Ark., and Eugene and the late Phyllis Stacy of Purcell.

Patrick is a graduate of Sequoyah High School. He attended Bacone University and is currently serving in the United State Marine Corps., stationed in North Carolina.

The Gazebo was decorated in vibrant shades of red and white, along with calla lilies, oriental and asiatic lilies.

The bride’s dress was an elegant floor length, strapless ivory princess style gown of silk taffeta, featuring a chapel train.

Erica Rogan served as maid of honor, with Gina Casto, sister of the bride, standing as bridesmaid.

Javiar Flores stood as the best man, while Gary Helt was groomsman.

Jacob Casto, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer.

The reception was held at the Casto Estate hosted by Michael and Nancy Casto. A chocolate fountain and a heart shaped ice sculpture was featured. The wedding cake was a three tier offset round white cake featuring delicate Picot and Cornelli designs topped with the letter “C”.

The couple will reside in Kentucky.
