Lauren Ruth Glen and Kyle Lyndon Lewis, both of Claremore, were united in marriage on July 27, 2007, on the beach at RIU Hotel, Paradise Island, Bahamas. Rev. Carl Rahming officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Kenneth and Rita Glen of Claremore. She is the granddaughter of Ellen Glen and the late Daniel Glen of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and the late Clarence Robert and Ruth Jean Cole of Bath, Ohio.
Lauren is a 1998 graduate of Claremore High School. She received her bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Performance, and Leisure Service Management from OSU in 2007. Lauren is employed with Stillwater Medical Center Total Health in Stillwater.
The groom is the son of Kenneth and Sheryl Lewis of Claremore. He is the grandson of Sammy and Ruth Lewis of Claremore, Hallie Maddox of Kingston, and the late Art and Deloris Kline of Tulsa.
Kyle is a 1999 graduate of Claremore High School. He is currently attaining his Business and Landscape Contracting degree at OSU. Kyle has owned Pro Care Irrigation and Landscape in Stillwater since 2001.
Lauren wore a white satin gown with a crystal beaded bodice. It had spaghetti straps, an empire waistline, and layered chiffon skirt with a handkerchief hem. She also wore a 3-tiered pearl necklace with matching earrings. Lauren carried long, flowing tropical flowers of lilies, orchids, and birds of paradise.
Megan Perry, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Holly Bacon and Jan Kinsey, friends of the bride, were bridesmaids.
Cameron Glen, niece of the bride, was flower girl.
Dustin Detherow, friend of the groom, stood as best man. Sean Lewis, cousin of the groom, and Ryan Jensen, friend of the groom, were groomsmen. Shawn Glen, brother of the bride, was usher.
After the beach ceremony, a reception was held on the hotel verandah overlooking the ocean, followed by a sit-down dinner.
The couple will reside in Stillwater.
