Sidwell, Langston unite in Tulsa ceremony

Valerie Jo Sidwell and Phillip Adam Langston, both of Tulsa, were united in marriage on July 14, 2007, at the Chapel in the Woods, in Tulsa. The Rev. James Graham, III of Verdigris United Methodist Church officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Warren and Jolene Sidwell of Chelsea. She is the granddaughter of Jack and Ilamae Larson of Gill, Colo., and Harold and Marlene Sidwell of Carr, Colo. A special guest of the bride was her 94-year-old great-grandmother, Inez Larson of Greeley, Colo.

Valerie is a 1999 graduate of Claremore Sequoyah High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Oklahoma State University in 2003. Valerie is employed by State Farm Insurance Companies in Tulsa.

The groom is the son of Phil and Karen Langston of Mounds. He is the grandson of Georgie Langston of Wagoner, and Bill and Charlotte Bitsko of Sand Springs.

Phillip is a 2000 graduate of Mounds High School. He is employed by Anderson Mechanical in Tulsa.

Valerie wore a white satin gown with a crystal beaded bodice. The strapless gown featured a crystal beaded bolero jacket, layered chiffon skirt, and a black ribbon sash at the waistline with a silver broach. The cathedral length veil was held in place by a crystal and pearl tiara. She also wore a tear-drop pearl necklace with matching earrings. Valerie carried long-stem red roses wrapped with silver ribbon.

Mandy Langston, sister-in-law of the groom, was matron of honor. Laurie Sidwell, sister-in-law of the bride, Julie Ziriax, sister of the groom, Cindy Largent, friend of the bride, and Casseday Lohr, cousin of the bride, were bridesmaids.

Jaylinn Lohr, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.

Michael Langston, twin brother of the groom, stood as best man. Matt Sidwell, brother of the bride, Chris Ziriax, brother-in-law of the groom, and Jake Voros, friend of the groom, were groomsmen. The ushers were Jeremy Bitsko and Chris Webb, cousins of the groom.

Evan Langston, nephew of the groom, and Jack Dean, friend of the bride, were ring bearers.

The guest book attendants were Wilania Street and Jordan Garrett.

After the ceremony, a reception was held at The Blue Cottage in Jenks where a sit-down dinner was held. The couple honeymooned in San Antonio and now are at home in Tulsa.
