Police pursuit ends with arrest

CLAREMORE —

A Claremore man was arrested on the Rogers State University campus following a four-mile long pursuit early Sunday morning.
At approximately 3 a.m., a Rogers County deputy attempted to pull over Johnny Taylor Brown, 25, who was allegedly speeding near Highway 20 and 4170 Road. Brown sped off, leading deputies on a pursuit through Claremore. 
The chase ended at RSU after Brown crashed his vehicle near the Sculpture Lab in front of university student housing. 
He was caught and arrested following a brief foot chase on campus.
According to RSU officials, Brown is not affiliated with the university and there were no indications that any students were near the scene or in jeopardy during the chase.
Brown was booked in the Rogers County Jail. Charges include endangering others while eluding police, driving with license cancelled, suspended or revoked, and failure to reduce speed for an authorized emergency vehicle, according to Rogers County inmate information.
Bond has been set at $6,212.
