Boy Scouts receive Cherokee Nation grant

Cherokee Nation Principal Chief Hoskin Jr. presents grant to Boy Scout O. A. Lodge for Cherokee educational ceremony dress and regalia at the American Legion Post 141 today. Scouts are pictured with Hoskin and tribal councilors Keith Austin and Janees Taylor. The Order of the Arrow (OA) is the National Honor Society of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), composed of Scouts and Scouters who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives as elected by their peers.

Boy Scouts of this Lodge have concentrated on educating the public on traditional Cherokee customs, traditions, language skills and history.
