CPS Foundation’s anniversary celebration continues with Brainiac Brawl

Recently, the Claremore Public Schools Foundation (CPSF) celebrated its 30th Anniversary with its Celebration of Excellence dinner at Rogers State University. The evening began with a reception where guests visited with teachers from all of the Claremore Schools about grants they had received from CPSF. Guests were able to get up close and actually see grants in action. Following dinner, Claremore School Board Vice President Rick Mosier introduced Mr. Frank Robson, the inspiration for CPSF. Keynote speaker for the evening was the Honorable Darnell Jones, II.

To cap off the week’s activities, a bench honoring CPSF founders Frank and Ludmila Robson’s inspiration was been placed in Claremore High School beneath the portraits of CPSF’s Hall of Fame inductees.

As the 30th Anniversary celebration continues, CPSF has kicked off its “30 for 30” campaign aimed to raise $30,000 to continue the mission of the Claremore Public Schools Foundation “to enrich the quality of education in the Claremore Public Schools.” Every dollar adds up to make a very real impact on students in Claremore which is seen each December and April when grant patrol visits the school sites.

On December 7, 2018, the Trustees, along with Superintendent Bryan Frazier, took to the streets and visited all six school sites to announce the awarding of the foundation’s semi-annual grants. The excitement and cheers, along with the help of balloons and donuts, made this morning one of the best yet.

A total of eighteen educators were awarded grants for classroom materials, equipment, and projects for our Claremore students. Grants are awarded semi-annually in December and May. Teachers must apply for funding of projects that they feel will “enrich the quality of education in the Claremore Public Schools” through the learning experience of their students.

CPSF celebrates another milestone in February - the 10th Annual Brainiac Brawl. This year’s Brainiac Brawl is scheduled for February 2, 2019 at the Claremore Conference Center. This event has been a sell out in past years so be sure to get your table early. Brainiac Brawl is CPSF’s largest fundraiser which helps fund the grants to teachers and school sites. Since CPSF began in 1988, the foundation has helped provide more than $1,690,000 in grants to teachers and school sites. As a private, non-profit organization, CPSF depends on the contributions of individuals and corporate donors.

These events would not take place without our 2018-19 CPSF Partners: Advanced Orthopedics of Oklahoma, Baker Hughes, BancFirst, CF Industries, Cherokee Nation, Highfill Properties, Hillcrest Hospital – Claremore, Jack Kissee Ford, Nees Realty, LLC, The Print Shop, RCB Bank, Robson Properties, TTCU, Smalygo Auto Wholesale, Bill and Phyllis Snyder and Whataburger.
