April is National Poetry Month, and the Will Rogers Library is ready to rhyme, happy to haiku, leaping to limerick, and perhaps even speak a sonnet or two in honor of great poets past and present. Launched in 1996 by the Academy of American Poets, National Poetry Month has become the largest literary celebration in the world, and this year brings a special highlight with a focus on Oklahoma poets. Come by the Library this month and discover the power of poetry! You’ll be sure to find something to enjoy before “…rough winds do shake the darling buds of May…”
In addition to poetic offerings, the Library has added over 80 new print titles, more than 100 new E-books and 90 new Audiobooks for your reading and listening pleasure. You can always find the latest additions to the collection on the library's website at www.willrogerslibrary.org. For help with the online catalog, just ask any library staff member for assistance; they are happy to share tips and tricks to help you find new items of interest!
