Claremore Blue Star Mothers seeking donations for soldier care packages

Claremore Hospital staff made a donation during Blue Star Mother’s Fill the Truck campaign.

The list of area soldiers currently deployed is growing and Claremore Blue Star Mother's is seeking the community's help in filling the gaps for soldier care packaged.

"We are getting many new names and our stock is running low," said Wanda Inman.

As part of an annual contest, local dealerships are going head to head, or bumper to bumper, to see who can collect the most donations for the troops.

“Every May because of Mother's Day, our local dealerships,  Suburban, Melton's Sales, and Kissee have a contest to fill the truck for our troops until May 31,” Inman said. “We have received 65 more names which gives us around 150 names to ship to each month. With Covid-19, we have not been able to get out and collect items to fill our box. If you can help, please take your donations to your favorite dealership.”

She encouraged anyone who is able to drop off any of the following items at the location of their favorite truck.
