Food Distribution

Changes have been made to the produce distribution program in Rogers County.

Since the start of the pandemic, produce boxes have been distributed to county residents at various locations around the county, with no questions asked. The program is made possible by USDA Farm to Families, GoFresh, and Mercy Chefs with the help of local organizations helping with distribution logistics.

This week Volunteers for Youth provided this update on the program: "Distribution has been pushed back one more week, and is projected to begin Sept. 8"

Jody Reiss with Volunteers for Youth said some sites are in need of volunteers.

“It is up to the individual site if they require masks or anything like that,” said Volunteers for Youth. “It is manual labor so you lift boxes of different weight and put them into cars. So anyone interested in volunteering should be mindful of that.”

Anyone interested in volunteering should contact Reiss at 918-706-9193.
