Free smoking cessation clinic offered in Claremore

Ready to quit smoking and want to know about options to help you quit?

Led by a certified facilitator, the first session of the Freedom From Smoking® clinic will include information about how to know you're really ready to quit smoking and program options.

The first session is scheduled for Tuesday, May 28 from 4:30 p.m. until 6 p.m.

No single plan is right for all smokers; the clinic will cover a variety of techniques for individuals to incorporate into their own plan to quit.

If the group clinic is right for you, there are seven additional clinic sessions being offered. Topics will include:

•Medicines that can help you stop smoking

•Lifestyle changes that make quitting easier

•Preparing for Quit Day

•Managing stress

•Avoiding weight gain

Those who use the Freedom From Smoking® program, developed by the experts of the American Lung Association, are six times more likely to be smoke free one year later than those who try to quit on their own.

A schedule and additional information is available at HillcrestClaremore.com/Freedom.

All sessions will be held on the campus of Hillcrest Hospital Claremore in the medical office building behind the hospital.
