Friends of Will Rogers Library has launched its 2019 fundraiser for the FOL Endowment.
The dividend from the endowment allows Friends to fund over $16,000 of additional needs for Will Rogers Library, among which are the summer reading program, audio best sellers, family friendly movies, the new escape room program, adult and family craft program, and now the expansion of the library’s outreach program.
During monthly visits from library staff, residents of local nursing facilities may obtain a library card and check out up to five books from carts of books which are specifically purchased for the interests of these readers.
Thanks to the response of the community last year, Friends was able to help fund a very successful launch of the library’s outreach program to two of Claremore’s nursing and assisted living facilities.
This year’s goal is to help fund the expansion of the outreach program to two additional facilities, as well as the Claremore Veterans Center.
Contributions to the endowment are fully tax deductible. Donation cards and information are available on the checkout desk at the library for those in the community interested in supporting this effort.
