From Ghana to Claremore: Legacy students hear from special guest

Emmanuel Koomson of Winneba, Ghana, West Africa, visited Legacy Christian School just before Christmas break. He is in the US with Cyprus Global Ghana, of which he serves as an executive board member and the educational director.

"Cyprus Global Ghana is currently building a school that Emmanuel will lead," Scott Greenland, fellow Cyprus Global Ghana board member, said. "He is visiting schools in the Claremore and Tulsa area to learn how the US education system works."

Greenland said Koomson is also the Circuit Director for the Ghana Department of Education.

Koomson spoke to kindergarten through fifth grade students at Legacy, and then visited each classroom to answer questions, as well as ask questions of the teachers and students.

Schools Koomson visited during the week include RSU, Foyil Public Schools, Claremore High School, Justus Tiawah, Verdigris Elementary, ORU, and North Berryhill Elementary.
