On November 5, Juanita Mitachek achieved a mark that most people only dream of. Today she celebrates her 100th Birthday and becomes a Centenarian.
Born on November 5, 1919, in Olive, Oklahoma, in a farm house. She grew up in Chandler, Oklahoma, and is the oldest living alumni from Chandler High School. She met her husband, Bill, at OSU and in 1941 they were married. They lived for many years in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, where they raised two children, daughter, Janice and son, Michael, and he worked at Phillips Petroleum. Bill passed away in 1990. She moved to Claremore at the age of 90. She lived for many years at the Brookfield Assisted Living in Claremore and currently lives at Saint Simeon’s Senior Community in Tulsa.
Her birthday is being celebrated by her children, Janice & Ron Wallis and Michael & Lynn Mitachek and her extended family & friends.
In celebration and recognition of her birthday, she received several acknowledgements from Federal, State, County and Local officials, including a Proclamation recognizing November 5, 2019, as Juanita Mitachek Day in the City of Claremore
