For the past 41 years, Jeff Jensen has gone to work serving the community through his position as president of BancFirst in Claremore.
Jensen has been in banking for decades, but when those who know him best speak of him, it's his investment in Claremore that they speak to first.
When Jensen won the 2019 Progressive Citizen Award, John Feary, executive director of Claremore Industrial and Economic Development Authority had this to say about him: "Claremore, and all of Rogers County, is a better place because of Jeff Jensen's decades of service and insight to the people."
"Jeff's tenure in Claremore has seen constant and generous commitment in both monetary dollars and volunteer efforts through involvement with the Claremore Chamber of Commerce, Rogers County Home of Hope, Winterfest, Will Rogers Rodeo, The Will Rogers Memorial Foundation, J.M. Davis Gun Museum, American Legion Ballpark and countless other charitable endeavors," Feary wrote.
"Beyond his philanthropic endeavors, Jeff has been instrumental in guiding the financial wellbeing of thousands of citizens through his four plus decades in banking. Jeff has ensured that small businesses and families have been able to purchase homes, buy cars and save for their children's future in a manner consistent with sound financial principals. These aforementioned attributes accompanied with a passion to see people realize their dreams is why Jeff Jensen is considered to be one of the most reputable professionals in his industry," Feary said.
In recognition of his 41 years of service, a retirement celebration is scheduled for Tuesday, June 30 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Three Twenty on Main, hosted by CIEDA. The community is invited to attend.
Jeff Jensen is husband to BethAnn Jensen, father of two and grandfather of four.
