Advanced Orthopedics Physical Therapy opened in Claremore Feb. 4, and Doctor Jacey Thomson is leading the way in physical therapy.
Thomson was raised in Pryor and Claremore, playing softball and basketball.
A sports injury in high school led her to the realization that she wanted to become a physical therapist.
After graduating from Pryor High School, she attended the University of Kansas with a bachelor’s in sports science and graduated from Langston University with a doctorate in physical therapy in 2010.
Thomson has been a practicing a physical therapist for the past 9 years.
“I have worked in the outpatient physical therapy setting since graduating and feel my skills are best applied here,” Thomson said. “I am a highly trained manual therapist, certified in trigger point dry needling, kinesio tape, Graston/ASTM techniques and also SFMA trained.”
Thomson has been with Advanced Orthopedics of Oklahoma, formerly Eastern Oklahoma Orthopedic Center, for the majority of her career.
When the company decided to open a branch in Claremore, Thomson decided it was the perfect opportunity to bring her practice home.
“My husband and I chose to reside in this adorable community five years ago and have met some wonderful friends and community leaders here,” Thomson said.
