DURANGO, Col., July 28, 1935 - Towns are like people. They are proud of what they have. Trinidad, Col., with enough coal to melt the North Pole down till it runs.

Then Wiley hit a beeline over the tops of the mountains to Durango, a beautiful little city, out of the way and glad of it. Gold, silver and Mesa Verde cliff dwelling ruins, where civilization flourished before it started to go backward.

Today Wiley is flying over Brice Canyon, Zion Canyon, over, down, and through the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, New Lake.

No wonder American people are filling roads, trains and air. There is so much to see. What we lack in reading we make up in looking.

Yours,

Will Rogers.
