Last month a group of leaders from Northeast Technology Center spent the day at the Capitol in Oklahoma City participating in the Oklahoma CareerTech Business & Industry Day.  

The annual event features leaders from CareerTech schools all around the state, including NTC, traveling with the districts’ Business & Industry services teams, along with local business partners of the school.  

The group travels to the capitol, hears remarks from CareerTech leaders and Oklahoma political leaders, and then has the chance to spend the morning meeting with legislators from the region.

Representing Northeast Technology Center were Superintendent Fred Probis; Business & Industry Director Terry Walters; NTC School Board President Billy Hendrickson; Marketing & Communications Coordinator Kenny Day; Afton Campus Adult Ed Director Mike Reece; Small Business Coordinator Joy Justice; Industrial Coordinator Tony Cordray; Industry Specialist Bonnie Anderson; Business & Industry Specialist Dana Stutzman; Industrial Coordinator Jerad Girten; Kansas Campus Adult Ed Director Mike Seifried; Claremore and Pryor Campus Adult Ed Director Melissa Overcash; Agriculture Business Management Instructor Glenn Hamill; and Bid Assistance Coordinator Donna Martin. Guests of NTC included Charles Corte of Brothers Painting and Freedom Manufacturing; Lori Skelley-Follis president of the Humane Society of Grove & Grand Lake; David Puckett, Fire Chief of Northwest Rogers County; and Ellen Odell with Precision Machine in Grove.
