Remy's Chop Shop is coming to Claremore, and they're bringing their flavor-packed street tacos and beer on tap with them.

By the end of the month Jeremy and Jessica Vargas will be slinging tacos in the Cornerstone Building.

The two own Remy's Chop Shop in Pryor, where they've built a bit of a cult following and now they want to give Claremore the chance to join the taco life.

"We always knew we wanted to expand into Claremore next. We have a number of customers from Claremore already. When the opportunity came in the area we wanted to be in an amazing building we jumped at it," said Jeremy Vargas. "Slow smoking our brisket and pulled pork is what sets us apart from others. Add to that all of our sauces, salsa, and guacamole, which are made fresh daily, we are more than just your average taco shop."

Their menu boasts chicken, pork and brisket tacos, quesadillas and burritos. But they've gone one step further.

"We will also have Fat Toad beer on tap and only offer Oklahoma beers by the bottle or can," Vargas said, "And we'll also have wine."

The Vargas family hasn't always been living the taco life. They used to be all about the barbecue.

"I started perfecting my recipes by competing in competition barbecue. We started catering for events and churches. And even catered out own wedding—which I don't recommend doing," Vargas joked. "We moved to Pryor in 2014 and then the opportunity came in 2016 to open up our own place inside Joey's Custom Cycles in Pryor. So we left the medical and IT world behind and opened the doors April 1 2016."

Remy's Chop Shop will be located at 609 S. Brady Suite 125 in Claremore.
