Comic book fans and nerds of all stripes, get your cosplays ready for the Route 66 Comic Con, coming to Claremore April 4.
Route 66 Comic Con promises enjoyment for every fandom, with over 50 vendors selling collectibles and art.
Special guests include Dominc Pace who plays "Gekko" in Disney's The Mandalorian, Justin Nemmo who plays the silver power ranger from Power Rangers in Space, and Muriel Fahrion, creator of Strawberry Shortcake and artist for the Care Bears.
Photo opportunities and autographs from the guests will be available all day.
Cool prizes will be announced in the next few weeks for the costume contest.
Event posters all say bring your trades.
“Some collector vendors like to trade collector items of value instead of cash, and are looking for the next awesome trade,” said Nerd Alert Events owner Lori Squyres, organizer of the Route 66 Comic Con.
The Route 66 Comic Con will take place in the Dr. Carolyn Taylor Center at Rogers State University from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tickets are $10 at the door, or $7 in advance at route66con.com.

Nerd Alert Events conventions is devoted to creating a family friendly community where a love for comics, fandoms and pop culture is accepted while creating the general public's awareness of and appreciation for these things, all while fostering the enjoying of the comic con environment for future generations,” Squyres said. “It will be a great family atmosphere with all sorts of fandoms, cosplay, vendors, comics on display. We welcome and encourage all ages to come check it out and see what makes this exciting.”
