Pinkies out, hats on.

Claremore firefighters reaped the rewards of a teddy bear tea party this weekend.

For the second year, the Girl Scouts of Will Rogers Service Unit hosted their Teddy Bear Tea.

Organizer Crystal White said, "The girls got to come have a fancy tea part and bring a new teddy bear to give to the Claremore Fire Department. The bears are used to give to kids who have been in a traumatic event."

White, a scout mom, said she had fun memories of her own Teddy Bear Tea.

"I did it when I was a girl scout," she said. "So, when I started my troop it was something I wanted to do with my girls."

At least 45 girls were in attendance, White said.

Amidst the frilly dresses and dainty cups, firefighters could be found beaming—happy to accept the gifted bears.

In exchange, the firefighters of station one gave the girls, and the bears, an up-close look at their fire engine.
