Rogers County Master Gardeners host guest speaker Shelia Kenotz, Director of Horticulture, at their monthly meeting. Meeting will be held in the Rogers County Building (416 S. Brady St., Claremore) at 7 p.m.

The Genealogy Volunteers are at the Will Rogers Library on Mondays from 3:00-7:00 p.m. to assist patrons researching their family history, including Native American research, and research to assist those wishing to apply for membership in the DAR. Also, see our volunteer, Barbra, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. to learn how to download and use a free genealogy program.

It will begin at 10 a.m. and go until 1 p.m. A light lunch will be provided, and this month our keynote speaker will be our very own Kenny Blair. We will also have the honor of having Julie Bailey with us as well, so come and celebrate with us! Chamber of Commerce Leading Ladies Luncheon. Networking opportunities will begin at 11:30 a.m., and the program will begin at 11:45 featuring guest speaker Shea Garrison! Lunch will be provided. 40 Under Forty reception and awards ceremony is scheduled for 4 p.m. at the Will Rogers Memorial Museums.

Rogers County Free Medical Clinic is open to persons living in the county who are without insurance, such as Medicare, Medicaid, Sooner Care, or others, and who would otherwise not have access or be able to afford medical care. Clinics are held at the Rogers County Health Department starting at 6 p.m. and consultations and patients seen are on a first come, first served basis.

Claremore High School Marching Band and Guard fundraising car wash is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 31 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Claremore Pizza (600 S. Lynn Riggs). All proceeds go towards new equipment and music.
