Crockpots filled with soups and chilis sat on tables throughout businesses downtown as merchants fought for the title of Souper Saturday Champion. The Claremore Museum of History won the title for a second year with their MoH Italian Tortellini Soup.

Souper Saturday is an annual event where participants stroll through participating businesses, try their soup, and vote for which soup they think is best.

The businesses participating include A Place N Time, ACK Esthetics, Back in the Day Antiques & Treasures, Centsible Spending, The Cozy Cottage, The Cranberry Merchant, Crooked Roots, The Haberdashery, Claremore Museum of History, New 2 U Liquidation Sales, OK Pizza Co., Rhapsody Boutique & Spa, She Brews Coffee House, Spectrum Paint, Tap on the Tracks, The District on Main, Thrift Harbor and Wildflour Baking Co..

This event was started to encourage people to shop downtown, during a month many shops see a dip in traffic due to the post-holiday season.
