Squeals of delight announced the arrival of Claremore police officers in each and every classroom at Claremont Elementary School Thursday.
With help from the gift-giving expert, Santa, officers put a toy in the hand of every student in the school.
The gifts represented the fruits of the officers' labor in the recent No Shave November fundraiser.
During the month of November, officers "payed a fine" weekly for the privilege of growing facial hair. Officers pitched in their own money and solicited community donations. And it all paid off in a big way.
Chief Stan Brown said he couldn’t be more proud of both his officers and his community for the $15,000 raised to provide gifts.
