A memorial service for Naomi Jean McCoy will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009 in the Chapel of the Garden at Rice Funeral Service. She will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery following the service. Naomi passed away at her home in Tulsa on July 16, 2009. She was 77.

Born in Claremore on Dec. 10th, 1931 to Jacob and Mary (Tracy) Shatto, Naomi attended high school here.

The first years after completing her education were dedicated to taking care of her home and family. Later she moved to Tulsa with her children and began her career in the accounting and clerical fields. She reared her son and daughter in the Tulsa area.

After retirement, Naomi continued to make her home in Tulsa. Working in her yard brought Naomi great satisfaction and she shared that love of gardening with her daughter, Pamela.

Devoted mother, sister and friend, Naomi is survived by her daughter, Pamela Lissau and husband, John, of Tulsa; her siblings, Virgil Shatto and wife, Erlene, also of Tulsa, Lesterene Viera of Hayward, California, Joe Shatto and wife, Joyce, of LaGrange, Texas, Lloyd Shatto of Mounds, Lorene Walkingstick and husband, Linden, of Chelsea, Barbara Boswell and husband, Larry, of Claremore, and Donald Shatto and wife, Malli, of Las Vegas, Nevada. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Roger McCoy, sister Louise Pettit and brother Clifford Shatto.
