The grocery store at 322 N Lynn Riggs Blvd., formerly Warehouse Market, will open Nov. 14 as 10Box Cost-Plus, a young company with a whole new concept for saving customers money.
10Box is a typical grocery store, with both pre-packaged food and fresh produce.
“The difference is, we’re selling things at what it takes us to get it to the store, plus 10 percent,” said Store Manager Chris Washburn.
Everything in the store is priced at cost, with a flat, 10 percent surcharge applied to the total value of the purchase, before coupon values are deducted or sales tax is added.
The 10 percent charge covers the store’s operational expenses and gives them an approximate 2 percent profit, according to their website.
“A lot of places have a 20-30 percent markup on each item, but that’s not us,” Washburn said.
In addition to transparent pricing, 10Box also helps customers maximize their grocery budget with weekly deals and by accepting manufacturer’s print coupons.
The store will accept checks, debit and credit cards, EBT food stamps and WIC discounts.
Store hours will be 7 a.m. - 10 p.m., and they will be open from 7 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving.
“If you’re looking for the best overall value for your basket, this is the place to shop,” Washburn said.
