CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Northeast Oklahoma is pleased to announce Mark Ogle has joined their staff as Resource Development & Marketing Coordinator.
His responsibilities will include the overall management of CASA's fundraising and outreach activities in Rogers, Mayes, Craig, Ottawa, Delaware and Washington Counties.
"Mark brings knowledge, experience and passion to CASA of Northeast Oklahoma," said Angela Henderson, Executive Director, CASA of Northeast Oklahoma. “He has a heart for children and wants to ensure that they have everything they need to thrive.”
Ogle brings a wealth of knowledge to the job with over 30 years of experience in marketing, fund development and community involvement.
"I am ready to get started and look forward to helping CASA of Northeast Oklahoma achieve their mission to speak for the best interest of abused and neglected children in district and tribal courts in Northeast Oklahoma and to help them find safe, permanent and nurturing homes," said Ogle. "I truly believe when you have an opportunity to help better the life of a child in need, you not only change their life, but that of the community, as a whole."
Ogle and his wife, Karen, are both well known in the community for helping children in need. In addition to their five children, they were foster parents for over a decade, opening their home and serving as parents to 76 foster children. They co-founded the Rogers County Foster Care Association, with each serving the organization as President.
Mark served a term on the Oklahoma Foster Care Association Board of Directors. Karen is a former CASA of Northeast Oklahoma board member. She is currently a board member of the William W. Barnes Children's Advocacy Center and the Foyil School Board.
"As a foster parent, I witnessed first hand how much of a benefit it was to have a CASA volunteer assigned to one of our children. Their input was invaluable in successful outcomes for children,' said Mark.
CASA of Northeast Oklahoma promotes and supports quality volunteer representation for children to provide each child with a safe, permanent and nurturing home.
Incorporated in May 1995, CASA (then Tri-County CASA) was formed through the leadership of Judge Dynda Post (ret.) and Judge Terry McBride (ret.) and other concerned citizens in the 12th Judicial District, serving Rogers, Mayes and Craig County.
Now as CASA of Northeast Oklahoma, the organization is a Regional Program serving six counties (Craig, Delaware, Mayes, Ottawa, Rogers and Washington) in Oklahoma, plus the Quapaw Nation and Shawnee Tribal Courts.
CASA of Northeast Oklahoma envisions a world where every abused and neglected child has a CASA volunteer appointed to represent his or her best interests, world where all children have a safe, permanent home and where children experience improved wellbeing.
