A 54-year old Coffeyville, Kan., man was killed in a Rogers County wreck Friday.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports show two vehicles were involved in a collision around 7:57 a.m. on Highway 169 at county road 300, roughly three miles north of Talala.

OHP says a 32-year old Delaware, Okla., man driving a 2007 Kenworth semi was traveling northbound on Highway 169.

The 54-year old, whose name is being withheld at this time, was traveling southbound on Highway 169 driving a 2007 Hyundai Sonata.

"For an unknown reason vehicle two, the Sonata, crossed the center line and entered the northbound lane of traffic and struck the semi head on," according to OHP.

The driver of the semi was transported to a Tulsa hospital while the driver of the Sonata was pronounced dead on scene after being pinned in the vehicle for four hours and 15 minutes, according to OHP.

Both the cause of collision and condition of driver are listed as "under investigation" in OHP reports.
