Home repair fraud charges have been filed against a man accused of defrauding a Rogers County resident out of over $11,800.
Court records in Rogers County show that felony charges were filed against Billy Holcombe, 60, on Monday.
Records show that Rogers County Sheriff's Office was contacted by a local man who said he gave Holcombe a check for $11,800 for a home construction project.
"Bill cashed the check and has never returned to [the alleged victim's] home to begin the project," records show. "…no work has been completed and no materials have been purchased for this project."
Investigators were told Holecombe has had nearly six months to begin construction or return the money. During the course of the investigation, deputies learned that Holcombe has a pending case in Muskogee for a similar incident.
