Claremore High School, Valedictorian, Kassidy Hannah ranks fourth her 2018 class of 282 seniors.
Hannah is Secretary of the National Honor Society and Treasurer of the Young Democrats Club. She is a member of the CHS Math and World Language Clubs and Mu Alpha Theta. Hanna is also participates in Lady Zebra athletics as a member of the Soccer and Cross Country teams. She also founded the Commit to Clean Recycling Program, a plastic bottle recycling program.
Hannah plans to attend University of Central Oklahoma, to study Business, in the accounting or marketing fields. She says she researched a lot of jobs, looking at the requirements and responsibilities and business seemed to suit her best.
"Especially International Business," Hannah said. "I love to travel. We're from Sweden, my mom is, so we go there every summer, so I want to have both the traveling aspect and the business stuff."
Hannah chose UCO for it's smaller classes and her Regents Baccalaureate Scholarship will cover her tuition.
"Once I visited the campus, it's really nice," Hannah said. "It's kind of small, but it has a big school feel."
She plans to pursue a Master's Degree and hopes to travel mainly in Europe.
During her four years at Claremore High, Hanna has made the Superintendent and Principal's Honor Rolls and earned several scholarships and academic awards, including the Elks Lodge Social Studies Award and CHS 'Z' Awards in English, Math and Pre-AP Chemistry. Hanna was recently named as a 2018 All State soccer player.
