What is your favorite thing about Claremore? My favorite thing about Claremore is the kind hearted people who are willing to be helpers!!
What was the best vacation you ever took? My favorite vacation was a road trip I took after college with several friends. We drove to LA to visit a friend who had just gotten a job at Paramount Pictures. She gave us a private tour of Paramount and we got to go on several sets of tv shows. We were in the audience of The Tonight Show one night and we got to see a show called “Married to the Kelley’s” being taped. We went to the beach in Malibu and spent one day at Universal Studios. It was so much fun!
Favorite band: I have several bands that I like: Boyz II Men, Black Eyed Peas, Skillet, New Kids on the Block, Linkin Park, Kutless, Destiny’s Child are a few. Music is fantastic, it’s so healing! When I’m sad or angry, I just put in my ear buds and let the music take me away.
Favorite book, podcast or ted-talk: The Harry Potter series
A 140 character tweet that describes you: I don’t tweet so here’s my attempt at tweeting lol: #Alwayschoosekind #Ibuybooksthewaymostwomenbuyshoes #Netflixiscool #ilovemyfamyandfriends.
The mentor or role model who inspired you: It’s hard to choose one mentor who inspired me. It takes a village to raise a child and I had an awesome village. I had many teachers, camp counselors, Bible class teachers, and friends of parents who encouraged me. My own family encouraged and supported me as well and I’m very grateful!
If you knew me better you'd know I… love people, want to help people, want to see people succeed, and want to be the best I can be!.
Why did you decide to become a school counselor? I became a school counselor because I want to help kids who are going through a difficult time. I want them to know they have a safe place to go to talk about their problems. I want to encourage and support students in achieving their dreams.
