A Claremore woman has been arrested for child abuse after allegedly stabbing her child with a screwdriver following an argument about laundry.
According to Rogers County Sheriff’s Office, Karina Jackson, 53, was arrested on felony allegations of child abuse and child neglect.
Deputies report that on March 10 Jackson was having a verbal argument with the alleged juvenile victim.
“The verbal argument escalated to physical abuse when Jackson found an article of clothing had been left in the washing machine and was not put into the dryer, so the article of clothing had become wrinkled,” according to Deputy Haning. “Jackson stabbed [the juvenile] with a screwdriver in the chest...and then punched her in the face.”
Deputy Haning said all of this was reportedly done in the presence of another juvenile.
Jackson was arrested and taken to Rogers County Jail.
