Visit Claremore is proud to announce the July photo contest winner. A Claremore resident and landscape photographer, Keith Cook captured the photo (pictured below) across from Catalayah Elementary School.

“I use the Claremore area as the backdrop for many of my photos and captured this particular location in all four seasons,” said Cook.

To help celebrate national filet mignon day on August 13, Cook won a $100 gift card to Doe’s Eat Place in Claremore. His photo is also featured on the VisitClaremore.org home page.

“We continued to receive some incredible entries this month that showcased Claremore in unique and innovative ways,” said Tanya Andrews, director of Visit Claremore. “Keith’s shot truly captured the beauty of rural Oklahoma and the landscapes that make our state so picturesque.”

Visit Claremore launched a photography contest in May, challenging people on social media to share photos of their favorite Claremore destinations using the hashtags #VisitClaremore and #2021PhotoContest.

“Although the summer contest has officially ended, people are still encouraged to tag Visit Claremore in social media posts for a chance to be featured on our website,” Andrews added.
