Monday night, Claremore Police Chief Stan Brown welcomed two new officers to the CPD family.

Alex Pegorsh and James Epperson were sworn-in as their family, friends, and city council looked on.

Brown shared a portion of the “Paradoxical Commandments,” which he said are part of his personal philosophy for life.

“People are illogical, unreasonable and self-centered. Love them anyway. If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives. Do good anyway,” Brown said.

Pegorsch and Epperson took an oath to “protect the rights, lives and property” of all citizens of Claremore and were met with a round of applause.
