While Lorin Mooney was in court for a child neglect and narcotics case, the Rogers County Sheriff's Office and Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Taskforce were serving a warrant on his residence.

District court records show multiple felony and misdemeanor charges were filed against Mooney, 39, this week.

RCSO records indicate that on Aug. 7, a DEA task force executed a warrant at the residence, in the Foyil area, and located surveillance equipment, methamphetamine and paraphernalia in the residence.

Mooney "was tipped off in regards to the warrant at his house and fled after leaving the courthouse to avoid law enforcement. Investigators received word from multiple individuals that hew as hiding out and was attempting to gather funds to leave the state and go to Louisiana," according to RCSO.

Investigators from the Rogers County District Attorney's Office petitioned the court for an arrest warrant, which was issued.

"Investigators turned the search for Lorin Mooney over to the U.S. Marshals Service due to Lorin's demeanor, and threats of suicide by cop," according to RCSO records.

Days later investigators received information on Mooney's whereabouts.

"Investigators arrived on scene to assist and observed multiple Marshals which had the house surrounded and were attempting to call out to Lorin. After approximately 45 minutes of call out on a loud speaker, U.S. Marshals breached the front door and made entrance into the residence," they reported.

"Shortly after, I observed the team back out of the residence with urgency. Investigators were immediately overwhelmed with the odor of gas/propane coming from the residence."

They said Mooney ultimately came to the door, visible through the broken glass, but refused to open the door.

"One U.S. Marshals presented his weapon up to the face of Lorin, giving him direct orders to open the door. Lorin finally complied and was taken into custody," they reported, adding that as he was being moved away from the residence he began pulling away from the marshal, yelling and cussing.

Mooney was booked into Rogers County Jail.

Charges filed against Mooney include: distribution of controlled dangerous substance-including possession with intent to distribute, possession of firearm during commission of a felony, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, obstructing an officer, maintaining place for keeping/selling controlled substance, arson-fourth degree, endangering human life during arson.
