Anyone interested in filling the Claremore City Council ward one position should submit their letter of interest before Sept. 24.
Following the resignation of council member Susan Kirtley, they city is seeking a replacement for the council position representing ward one.
"Letters of interest will be accepted through Sept. 24," said acting City Manager John Feary. "That Friday, Sept. 25, the letters would be sent to the council members as a whole and the council would be given a chance to process."
Feary said the public interview process for those who submitted a letter of interest would be during the regularly scheduled council meeting on Oct. 5.
"At that time if the council is ready to make a decision they can," he said. "Or they can set a date to do so."
