Remodeling is underway at the Rogers County Election board.
This week Rogers County Commissioners heard an update from the crew working on the project. Commissioners were told the remodel was moving forward right on schedule with heat an air installation scheduled for this week.
They said work on the front exterior of the building is underway and construction of an interior wall is complete and ready to be painted.
"There's nothing that would keep us from having an election in November," the commissioner swear told.
"This type of remodel this close to an election is a very bold, aggressive move," said Commissioner Hendrix. "But you're doing a great job of keeping it on track."
Those needing access to the election board are asked to enter through the east side of the building.
Among other things, the remodel will make the building more ADA compliant and will reduce the congestion that can take place during high-traffic times.
