Candidates interested in filing for office of the City of Owasso and Collinsville will file Declarations of Candidacy beginning 8 a.m. Monday, December 6th.
Julie Dermody, Secretary of the Rogers County Election Board, said Declaration of Candidacy forms must be completed and submitted to the County Election Board no later than 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8 when the filing period ends.
Dermody reminds voters that Contests of Candidacy must be filed no later than Friday, Dec. 10 and may only be filed by another candidate for that office, unless a candidate files unopposed.
Declarations of Candidacy will be accepted for the following offices:
• City of Collinsville: Mayor (2 year term), 1 Commissioner for Ward III (4 year term) and 1 Commissioner for Ward IV (4 year term).
• City of Owasso: Ward V (3 year term).
Declaration of Candidacy forms can be downloaded from the State Election Board website at oklahoma.gov/elections or by contacting your County Election Board office at 918-341-2965 or rogerscountyelectionboard.org.
The Rogers County Election Board is located at 415 W 1st St, Claremore, OK 74017 and is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Wednesday, Thursday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m..
The Primary Election is scheduled for February 8th, 2022. If a primary election is not needed, a General Election will be held April 5th, 2022.
