Whether it’s pictures of different Route 66 locations or hole-in-the-wall restaurants, Visit Claremore wants to see the place many people call home.
Throughout the summer, Visit Claremore is giving away prizes to the best photos of Claremore.
“I love the opportunity to tell our story through the lens of people who live and visit Claremore,” Tanya Andrews, Director of Visit Claremore, said in a press release.
The photography contest was launched in May to encourage people to share photos of their favorite destinations within Claremore on social media. July will be the final month of the contest.
Participants need to use hashtags #VisitClaremore and #2021PhotoContest and tag @Visit Claremore in order to submit the photo.
The deadline for July contest entry is August 4 with the winner announced August 6. Multiple entries are allowed. Winners must be 18 years of age or older.
For the month of July, and to help celebrate national filet mignon day on August 13, VisitClaremore will be giving away a $100 gift card to Doe’s Eat Place in Claremore and will feature the winning entry on the Visit Claremore website.
The May winner was Steve Fairley with his photo of the Will Rogers Memorial Museum at sunset. Fairly received a gift certificate to J. Farley’s Pub and a four-pack of tickets to the 75th annual Will Rogers Stampede PRCA Rodeo.
Debbie James, a 22-year resident of Claremore, won the photo contest in June with her photo historic Dot’s Cafe. James received a summertime prize package including a cooler, gift certificates to Claremore’s new Aldi’s, Walke Brothers Meat Company and Nabatak, Wicked Big soccer ball, Summer Vibes decorative stake, plus essentials for the perfect outdoor barbecue.
