Holiday Hills Thanksgiving

The Holiday Hills Group of Rogers County OHCE celebrated Thanksgiving early with a pot luck lunch of ham and many side dishes. Eleven member and five quests enjoyed the meal followed by a business meeting on November 9th, 2021.

The group has chosen to support Safenet in Claremore as an ongoing project and has chosen three people's wish list from their angel tree to fulfill for Christmas. Some members will be helping wrap the gifts on December 8th at the Safenet office.

In addition the group once again has volunteered to host a "fidget mat" workshop. These sensatory lap blankets are made with additions of zippers, buttons, and other attributes to keep idle hands busy. The mats will be distributed to area memory care and other homes for the elderly in and around Rogers County. The workshop will be on February 2nd at the Rogers County building and all are welcome. Everything will be supplied except sewing machines and irons.

The next meeting of Holiday Hills will be December 7th at one p.m. in the Rogers County Building. Snacks will be provided.
