The public is invited to honor veterans at an assembly at Legacy Christian School, in the First Baptist Church Worship Center, 107 E. Will Rogers Blvd. at 2 p.m.
Holiday Joy and Goodwill is spilling all over our quaint little city and at the Claremore Hospital Gift Shop the spirit is definitely alive! Join us at our Gift Shop, where Auxiliary members will be holding their annual Christmas Open House. Come and discover many “one of a kind” Christmas items and many other beautiful treasures. Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturday, November 10
The Sequoyah Alumni Homecoming Banquet will be in the Sequoyah High School cafeteria on Saturday, Nov. 10. Doors open at 6 p.m. Meals are $10 a piece. Monday, November 12
The Claremore Veteran’s Day Parade will kick-off promptly at 11:11 a.m. Prior to the parade, at 9 a.m. at the Expo Center Flagpole, the Claremore Navy JrROTC will perform the Flag Retirement ceremony. Everyone is welcome to attend. After the parade all veterans and families are invited to enjoy free dinner at the American Legion, 2141 N. Hwy 88.
Adult art classes from 6 to 8 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church Life Center, 115 E. 5th St.
The Genealogy Volunteers will be at Will Rogers Library from 3-7 p.m. to assist patrons researching their family history, including Native American research. We also can help with research to assist those wishing to apply for membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Tuesday, November 13
Children’s art classes from 4 to 5 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church Life Center, 115 E. 5th St.
Thursday, November 15
Rogers County Free Medical Clinic is open to persons living in the county who are without insurance, such as Medicare, Medicaid, Sooner Care, or others, and who would otherwise not have access or be able to afford medical care. Clinics are held at the Rogers County Health Department starting at 6 p.m. and consultations and patients seen are on a first come, first served basis.
Saturday, November 17
Rogers State University invites alumni, friends and Hillcat fans of all ages to its Homecoming 2018 gameday celebration on Sat., Nov. 17 in Claremore. Public homecoming activities start at 11:30 a.m. Saturday with the Hillcat Tailgating Party, a pre-game, family-friendly celebration featuring a photo booth, inflatables and games held outside the Claremore Expo Center where the basketball games will be played. All pre-game tailgating is free and open to the public.
