  • Oklahoma Military Academy Alumni Reunion and Centennial Celebration of the Founding of the Oklahoma Military Academy at Rogers State University. The detailed schedule of events can be found at www.rsu.edu.
  • Free movie and popcorn night at St Andrews United Methodist Church West on Hwy 20 at 6 p.m. Will be showing Courageous.

Friday, June 7

Saturday, June 8

  • Food, music, games and worship at the Vessel Saturday Night Block Party from 4-7 p.m. at1301 W Country Club Rd. Enjoy the La Hermosa food truck, a snow cone truck, free popcorn, music, a bouncy house, face painting and other free activities. People who are new to the church or community can stop by the Yes Desk for free meal tickets. Worship starts at 6 p.m.
  • Rogers County 4-H Dog and Cat Dip and Vaccination Clinic at Stillwater Milling Company, 6th and Owalla in Claremore. From 10 a.m. to noon meet with Dr. Tracy Patton, D.V.M. of the Rogers County Pet Hospital for $5 flea and tick dip, $10 rabies vaccination, $15 DHLPP for dogs, $15 FVRCP for cats, and $5 wormer per 20 pounds. All proceeds benefit Rogers County 4-H.
  • The U.S. Army Drill Team will perform at 11 a.m. in the Bushyhead Field House.
  • Attend the Rogers County Farmers Market at Gazebo Park from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. A number of local vendors will be present
  • Free family fishing and cookout with Light of Hope. Catch and release fishing and free hamburgers will be available under the pavilion at First United Methodist Church in Claremore. Bring your fishing gear and lawn chairs. Bait will be provided and fishing licenses are not required. Prizes will be awarded to children for smallest and largest fish caught. The event is Saturday, June 8 from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at the Northwest corner of the rear parking lot.
  • Come, listen and enjoy the Woolly Gospel Singing & Dessert Social at Shepherd’s Cross on Saturday, June 8 from 1-4 p.m. Enjoy music located indoors at the tour barn and silo, bring a potluck dessert to share or enjoy others provided. Other activities throughout the afternoon include a tour of the educational and interactive farm museum and silo and a tour of the Bible Garden. Come when you can….leave only when you must. A $5 suggested donation for this event is greatly appreciated. For more information call 918-342-5911. 

Sunday, June 9

  • Learn and play stickball with the Rogers County Cherokee Association from noon to 3:30 p.m. Stickball is an ancient game that has been enjoyed for generations. All community members are welcome to attend. The demonstration will be held at the RCCA building located at 15488 E 523 Rd near Justus Tiawah’s South Campus. The demonstration will be preceded by dinner and a brief membership meeting. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. For more information contact Amy Pinkerton at 918-504-5853.

Monday, June 10

  • The Genealogy Volunteers are at the Will Rogers Library on Mondays from 3:00-7:00 p.m. to assist patrons researching their family history, including Native American research, and research to assist those wishing to apply for membership in the DAR. Also, see our volunteer, Barbra, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. to learn how to download and use a free genealogy program.
