Are you tough enough to wear pink to a rodeo?

Those who wear it on Friday, May 26 will be helping raise money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Tulsa Affiliate.

The Will Rogers Stampede PRCA Rodeo will donate fifty cents from each general admission ticket holder wearing pink to the event.

In addition, contestants wearing pink who win their go round on Friday will receive an additional $100. Rodeo organizers will also donate part of the golf tournament proceeds.

The Tulsa Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation will be on hand to sell breast cancer awareness merchandise and hand out educational material. Anyone wearing pink will also be eligible for prizes given during special drawings on Friday.

More than 500 professional cowboys and cowgirls will compete for $80,000 in prize money at the 60th annual Will Rogers Stampede PRCA Rodeo May 24-27.

PRCA Hall of Fame announcer, Clem McSpadden, assisted by Scott Grover, will call the exciting action displayed in traditional rodeo events such as barrel racing, calf roping, saddle bronc riding and the always-popular bull riding.

Continuous events and entertainment include rodeo clown comedy acts by Rockin’ Robbie Hodges of Georgia, a Kansas City Barbecue Contest and Women’s Professional Barrel Racing Futurity with over 200 contestants. Rodney Hayes “The Texas Kid” will cut cattle and ride his bull to the top of a gooseneck trailer. These events are what helped earn this rodeo the title of Prairie Circuit Rodeo of the Year in 2005.

Award-winning stock contractor is Dell Hall’s Rafter H and includes bulls and bronc selected to the NFR and the PRCA Tour Finals. For the past 35 years, Hall has been supplying stock for the rodeo.
