GRDA officials say until the current energy shortage has passed, they are requesting that customers conserve until the current energy shortage has passed.
Public Service Company of Oklahoma officials also have appealed to their customers to cut back. Officials say electric use reached all-time record amounts on Monday and Tuesday, and more records could be set this week. They say PSO facilities have kept up with demand, but electric generation is running non-stop at full capacity and supplies are tight.
Oklahoma is in the grips of a heat wave that has been blamed for 12 deaths.
