A Joplin man was injured in a single car rollover wreck in Claremore this weekend.
According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the wreck happened late Friday, on the Will Rogers Turnpike roughly half a mile east of Claremore.
They report that a 42-year old Joplin, MO., man was driving westbound on the turnpike when the vehicle veered off the road to the left, struck a barrier wall, veered off the road to the right, struck the guardrail, rolled over and eventually came to a stop.
The man was transported to a Tulsa hospital in stable condition with head injuries.
According to OHP records, the cause of collision was that the driver was falling asleep at the wheel.
