Congressman Markwayne Mullin (OK-02) is seeking a Gold Star Family Member for a fellowship in his Claremore district office.
The person selected for the fellowship will perform a variety of duties including casework, corresponding with constituents, and other clerical tasks.
“Our service members and their families sacrifice so much for our country and we owe no greater debt than to those who’ve paid the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedoms,” Mullin said. “I’m pleased to be working with the House of Representatives to ensure Gold Star Families have access to employment opportunities as well as the care and services they have earned. I encourage any eligible Gold Star Family Member to apply for the fellowship in my Claremore office.”
The Gold Star Family Fellowship Program was established by the House of Representatives to provide employment opportunities for families of our service members who have paid the ultimate sacrifice to our nation.
Gold Star Family Members are eligible for the program if they meet all the following requirements: must be the parent, spouse, sibling, child, or step-child of a service member who either died on active duty or of a service member who received an Honorable Discharge and died due to a service connected disability within four-years of military separation.
Interested Gold Star Family Members should go to https://www.usajobs.gov/ and search “Gold Star Family Fellowship Program” for more information and how to apply.
