OKLAHOMA CITY – In a state that hosts more cattle than people and where you don't have to drive many miles outside the largest city to see cows grazing, it's clear why beef is a big part of Oklahoma culture. Dinner is Served, a new series of recipe videos from the Oklahoma Beef Council, highlights beef and Oklahomans who celebrate it.
These videos feature Oklahoma ranchers, dietitians, moms, chefs, and meat scientists. Each member of the beef community showcases their favorite beef meal.
"A big part of increasing beef demand and maintaining consumer trust is connecting consumers to the ranch," said Heather Buckmaster, OBC executive director. "This video series aims to do just that as members of Oklahoma's beef community share outstanding ways to prepare beef."
The spring and summer series are now available at oklabeef.org/dinner-is-served. They are also available on OBC's Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube channels. Some recipes in these series are Beef
Sticky Buns, Steak Fingers, Grilled Spicy Steak Salad with Guacamole Salsa, and Mediterranean Beef Flank Steak Pita.
"We appreciate everyone who contributed to the videos by demonstrating their favorite beef recipe and encourage all Oklahomans to check out these recipe videos," said Buckmaster.
The fall and winter videos will also be available at oklabeef.org/dinner-is-served when they are released.
