A 60-year old woman from South Coffeyville was killed in a two-car collision in Talala Wednesday.

According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the collision took place on Hwy. 169 northbound, 3.7 miles north of Talala.

The exact cause of the collision is under investigation but, OHP says, the woman was traveling northbound and “crossed the centerline for unknown reasons” striking an oncoming vehicle head-on.

The driver of the second vehicle reportedly sustained no injuries.

Oologah-Talala EMS, Northwest Fire Department and Rogers County Sheriff’s Office were on scene.
