More than 100 images of child pornography were recovered on the cell phone belonging to a Rogers County man.
A multi-jurisdiction taskforce headed up an investigation that resulted in felony charges being filed against Daniel West, 47.
The charges, aggravated possession of child pornography and violation of Oklahoma statute via computer, were filed in Rogers County District Court Tuesday.
Court records show that the Tulsa Police Cyber Crimes Unit, Homeland Security Investigations, and Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation executed a Rogers County search warrant on the Claremore residence at which time West was arrested.
During a search of the residence, a cell phone was found and examined, according to court records.
“Over 100 images/videos were recovered from the device that were identified as child pornography,” records stated.
West was arrested and bond was set at $35,000 for the first count and $5,000 for the second.
