Patti Page Boulevard, a section of State Highway 20, will be undergoing a pavement replacement from Route 66 to the Will Rogers Turnpike.
“We’re not changing any alignment or anything like that, this is just replacing the pavement from the ground up,” said Kenna Mitchell, Oklahoma Department of Transportation Public Information Officer.
This $4.6 million project doesn’t have a start date, but Mitchell said it will start in July – after the July 4 holiday.
“I don’t think we have the traffic control plan yet,” she said. “It will likely be that there will be some lanes narrowed in that corridor while they're working. I just don’t have how that’s going to look yet.”
This project was awarded to C3 Construction in March and will take 240 days – around eight months – to complete.
“There won’t be any detours because the highway will still be open,” she said. “People will definitely need to plan for extra time once the project gets started.”
